His parents and grandparents were self growers and suppliers to family and close friends as wheatgrass was difficult to come by. Its naturally sweet taste is abundant when it is grown between 5 - 10 cm high, yet, as it grows taller it will loose its sweetness but maintain its strong vitamin and mineral count making Wheatgrass the ideal choice for the health conscious. For best results wheatgrass should be squeezed and consumed immediately, and no longer than 3-4 hours.
